Creating Labels Using Microsoft Word
In this tutorial I will show you how to make labels using Microsoft Word.
The tutorial is divided into three parts:
- How to Select the label size?
- How to Insert images?
- How to Add text?
- Start Microsoft Word. (Click on Start, Programs, Microsoft Word.)
- Click the New Document button to start a new blank page.
- Click on Tools, highlight Envelopes and Labels
or Letters and Mailings.

- Select the Labels tab and click on the Options button.
You will see this window.
- Select your printer - if you have HP or Epson, select Laser and ink jet printer.
- Under the "Label Products" choose "Avery Standard"
(or another brand).
- Under the "Product number:" choose your label size.
- Click OK.
- You will see this window (below).
Select "Full page" of the same label and then click the "New Document" button.
A document with labels will open.
Guidelines - if you don't see the gray borders, turn on table gridlines so that you can see the outline.
From the Table menu, choose Show Gridlines.
